Surya's Singam 2 climax shot

Suriya's Studio Green produced Singam 2, climax is being shot in various locations in Thuthukudi and Karaikudi in south Tamil Nadu. It is director Hari's favourite location and always lucky for him.

Singam 2 is an action masala film directed by Hari, starring Suriya, Anushka and Hansika in the lead, while Vivek and Santhanam are also in the cast.The film is the sequel to Singam (2010) which was also produced by Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green.

Hari and Suriya after completing this schedule will be going to South Africa early next year to shoot some action scenes and a song. It has music by DSP. The film will be an out and out family entertainer laced with action and sentiments.

Singam 2 will be releasing in April as the first big summer release of 2013.

Maatran Movie Story Ramachandra (Sachin Khedekar) is a genetic scientist who wants to create a new revolution in science. Though Ramachandran wants to separate the twins, which will naturally lead to the death of one baby, his wife strongly opposes. Meanwhile Ramachandran's project gets rejected and after a long struggle he sets up a baby milk powder (Energion) and it clicks… Fast forward to the current situation: Now the twins have grown up but they opposite in nature. Watch Maattrraan to know more… Actors Performances With every film that he does, Suriya is getting better and better. He carries the entire film on his shoulders and he does it with ease. He has shown the difference of the conjoined twins rightly in the body mannerism and voice modulation. Post the interval, he appears in this third look and he does everything perfectly. Kajal Aggarwal is pretty and beautiful; but she has to work more harder to get the lip sync right. Sachin Khedekar plays a very important role in this film and he needs no introduction at all. In fact he is one of the seasoned actors that the country has ever seen. Isha Sharvani's dance number is above average. Tara, Suriya's mother, the Russian journalist and the army officer have done a good job. Technical Analysis K.V. Anand's association with Subha duo has once again emerged as the winner. However the second half of the film could have tweaked a little to increase the pace. Kudos to the director for his excellent research skill. Harriis Jayaraj's songs and background scores are ok. However it fails to create any major impact as the songs remind us of his earlier tunes. Cinematography by Sounder Rajan is perfect and stylish while Anthony's editing works are sleek. The film is produced by AGS Entertainment and Eros International has acquired the distribution rights. The film is also simultaneously released in Telugu as Brothers. Superstardom sits easy on his capable and very wide shoulders. He is a towering phenomenon that movie business has finally come to terms with and the worldwide gross box-office collection of his films in the last five years tells an astounding story. Things changed after the historic opening and record breaking collection of Ghajini and ever since there was no looking back for Suriya. After his last release 7 aum Arivu, Suriya went into hiding and now he is back with a bang with KV Anand directed Maattrraan releasing big on Oct 12 worldwide. Suriya's perfection lies in his ability to re-invent himself every time he embarks on a new film. Speaking exclusively to Sridevi Sreedhar from Thuthukudi where he is shooting for Singam-2, Suriya opens up.. Are you tensed, before the release of your films? What is your state of mind as Maattrraan releases this Friday? ( Smiles) I am calm and relaxed. The script of Maattrraan took four years to be honed and the entire team gave almost a year and a half to complete the film. A lot of hardwork has gone into the making of the film and I hope the audiences will be satisfied. It will be a more mature film than Ayan, which is more emotional and entertaining. How did the seed of conjoined twins evolve? While I was shooting for Ayan with KV Anand, he narrated a one-line story of a conjoined twins and I got hooked. But let me make it clear that the film is not all about conjoined twins and when you watch the film and come out, there are lot of other things which will stay in your mind. It is just that the conjoined twins are a part of the story. Was it physically demanding to play such a character? It was.. Though we are conjoined, our interests and character are totally different. If Akhilan likes Cricket or yoga, Vimalan likes football and gym. We are friends with different interests and so to bring out the emotions of two characters while we fight, dance or romance was not easy. You seem to share to great rapport with KV Anand. Please comment? I am a director's actor. KV Anand is the most hardworking director I've ever worked with. He pushes himself to the brim, does a thorough research, enjoys what he is doing and motivates you. In Maattrraan, he along with writer duo Subha worked hard on the screenplay and pace of the script. There will be a lot of mystery, twist and unpredictable turns with no loose ends and logic in place. It was a great experience to work with Anand once again. Karthi dubbed for one of the twins in the film? It must be perhaps for the first time that two brothers dubbed for twin brothers on-screen. I can't stop thanking Karthi for taking the effort. I can't say if I would have thought and done something like that for him. He saw the film and volunteered to do the dubbing in Telugu and for one of the twin brother in the Tamil version which will be a highlight. A lot is riding for you on Maattrraan…? Maattrran will satisfy you (smiles) and it's like watching two different films in different genres. I worked for almost 170 days of shoot plus 60 days of CG work. Even after the film was over, after seeing the rushes I decided to re-shoot some portions for perfection and gave extra days to dub. Harris has given some extraordinary songs, Soundarrajan's camera is superb and Srinivas Mohan who did Sivaji and Enthiran has done an amazing work with CG and special effects. I think, I've done my best. The trade buzz is that Maattrraan has been sold for the highest ever price in recent times. Please comment? I do not want to comment on the numbers and figures. But let me assure you that the producers, AGS Entertainment has done a great job in marketing the film successfully.

Maatran release date confirmed

Makers of Maatran have officially confirmed the release date of the movie as Oct 12th and the theater owners have started booking their copies and the show timings with the maximum number of screens. KV Anand directed Maatran has the enough hype among the audiences and fans of Suriya, who is playing the role as a Siamese twin for the first time. Maatran is slated for a grand solo release on Oct 12th with a maximum of 1300+ screens worldwide. Kajal Agarwal is playing the female lead for Suriya in this action entertainer, Maatran that has music scores composed Harris Jayraj. Kalpathi S Aghoram is producing Maatran under his AGS Entertainments banner, that will be simultaneously released in Telugu as 'Brothers' and interestingly Suriya himself has dubbed for the Telugu version too along with Tamil. Yes, we have the news that all Suriya fans are waiting to hear! Singam 2 will go on floors on September 19th. The prequel was a smash hit and therefore the expectations on the sequel are very high. Director Hari has prepared a wonderful script keeping this in mind and Suriya is raring for the project to roll as soon as possible. With everything in place, the team is ready to commence the venture on September 19th. The film has Suriya playing the hero while Anushka and Hansika will be the two heroines. It may be noted here that Anushka was the heroine in the prequel too while Hansika is a new addition.

Acotr Suriya's 7aum Arivu in the Oscar Race?

The Film Federation of India has selected two Tamil films – the Suriya starrer 7aum Arivu and the Balaji Shakthivel directed Vazhakku Enn 18/9 – compete for the prestigious Oscar Awards in the regional languages film section. Several other Indian language films have also been listed out by the Film Federation of India out which one film will be sent to compete for the Oscar Award under the regional languages film category. 7aum Arivu is a magnum opus starring Suriya and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. The film was directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. Vazhakku Enn 18/9 is directed by Balaji Sakthivel and produced by N Lingusamy's Tirupati Brothers with newbies playing the lead roles.

These sites in the name of Suriya are giving "false updates" regarding the star and his films. Suriya told – "There are many fake profiles of mine on online platforms. The worst is that some of those profiles have regular updates on my movements, giving an impression that I am posting them.Please don't be misled by fake profiles of mine on FB & Twitter" " One of Suriya's fake Face Book account has put out news that Maatttrraan is confirmed to release on September 19. A peeved Suriya was forced to deny it as a lot of "genuine" fans of the actor thought that it was the real Suriya profile.
